From Pearson International Airport (YYZ)
Taxis to the conference venue are available from Pearson. Travel time is approximately 45 minutes. Taxi fares from the airport are a flat rate based on the destination (see the Greater Toronto Airport Authority fare map). To Chestnut the flat fare is $56 CAD plus gratuity.
Pearson also offers a train service to Union Station in downtown Toronto. The Union-Pearson (UP) Express runs every 15 minutes from the airport between 5:30am and 1am daily. The trip is approximately 25 minutes and costs $12.35 CAD for a one-way adult fare. Tickets can be purchased at kiosks at the stations. From Union station, you can take the subway to the conference venue (see below).
From Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ)
Billy Bishop offers a complementary shuttle bus service every 15 minutes. The shuttle drops passengers off at the Royal York Hotel, across the street from Union Station. From there you can take a taxi or the subway to the venue. Taxis are also available directly from the airport; depending on traffic the fare can range from $25-$65 CAD.
From Union Station
Union Station serves as a terminal for the city’s transit services, regional trains and buses, and shuttles to and from both of Toronto’s airports. To reach the conference venue from Union Station, take the TTC subway Line 1 (Yonge-University Line) northbound toward Vaughan Metropolitan Center. Your stop is St. Patrick Station, 3 stops from Union. Chestnut is a 4 minute walk from the station.
By car
There are several routes to Chestnut depending on your direction of travel and traffic conditions. The address is 89 Chestnut Street, Toronto, ON (link to Google maps). Give yourself extra time as traffic in downtown Toronto can easily become gridlocked, especially in rush hour. With the exception of the province of Quebec, it is legal in Canada to make a right-hand turn on a red traffic light, provided you stop first and the way is clear.
